CheRyl “Miss Sex Appeal” was born Cheryl Martinez on October 13th in Long Island, New York. Her diverse heritage includes Puerto Rican, European, Italian, and Irish roots. At the tender age of 3, Cheryl took her first dance class, and never looked back. Her love for dance grew into a true love for performing. As she got older Cheryl added acting classes and vocal lessons to her already intense study of the art of dance. Furthering her education brought Cheryl to the
upstate region of New York where she graduated with honors from SUNY
Binghamton in 2006 earning a Bachelor's Degree in Comparative
Literature with a concentration in Dance & Theatre. While at Binghamton
she received her Aerobics Certification by
the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and she worked as
a Dance Instructor for the
University as well as off campus. She also served on the Executive
Board of the International Sorority Alpha Phi as Director of New Member
Education, and as a Recruitment Counselor.
After college Cheryl moved to New York City to pursue her dreams in the entertainment industry. Once arriving, Cheryl dove into the hectic New York scene taking advantage of any chance she could get to be on stage, performing, or behind the camera. People who have had the pleasure of working with Cheryl have been quick to describe her as “outgoing, versatile, professional, and extremely goal-oriented.” When recently asked what it takes to succeed Cheryl responded that she believes that “With hard work and dedication, you can accomplish anything! Follow your dreams and give it your all!”
Cheryl has accumulated numerous acting credits in several Major
Hollywood Feature Films ranging from
the action packed Spiderman 3 to the Mark Anthony/Jenifer Lopez romance
drama El Cantante. Cheryl
has also appeared in several national prime time television shows such
as ABC’s Six Degrees and NBC’s
Law & Order. Ms. Martinez has also been tapped by some of the music industries
biggest artists such as
Beyonce, Jay-Z, G-UNIT, Keisha Cole, Missy
Elliot, Lil Kim, Jadakiss, Ne-Yo, Jim Jones, and Juelz
Santana to showcase
her talents as a dancer/model for numerous music videos. As a fashion model, Cheryl has appeared
in print adds and live events
